The United Nations International Day of Peace provides an opportunity for all humanity to come together, in spirit and in action, to forward the ideals of and conditions for peace. This global day is observed by hundreds of millions of citizens in cities, towns and villages worldwide, and thousands of non-governmental organizations, as well as citizens and governments, organize and engage in diverse peace-related activities on and around this global day.
